The Master Mechanic

If your car broke down, could you fix it? If your computer did not reboot, could you fix it? If your life is a mess—choked with grief, confusion, pain, regret, uncertainty—could you fix it?

There are some things in life that are so overwhelming that their solution requires more than we can give.

We could try, of course, to think our way through difficulty. We could Google key words or search on YouTube for solutions. Friends may help. And there are experts who may hold the solution. But even with all these efforts, there are some things in life that are so overwhelming that their solution requires a master mechanic of the soul—the only one capable of going under the hood of the heart, preprogramming the mind, and meeting us as one who understands our real pain.

When the solution requires more than we can give, look to the only One who can give more than we require. Seek Him with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. (Mark 12:30)
